NEW DELHI: Pakistan Press Minister in India, Shah Zaman has said India has assured Pakistan’s High Commissioner Shahid Malik that there was no movement of Indian troops on borders. India has given Pakistan a list of 20 alleged terrorists involved in Mumbai attacks containing such names as Maulana Masood Azhar, Dawood Ibrahim and Hafiz Saeed. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has expressed hope that there will be no escalation between the two countries in the aftermath of the Mumbai tragedy. “I think it will be the other way round. It will not escalate because some responsible people have owned the responsibility of the intelligence failure,” he said in an apparent reference to the resignation of Indian home minister. Gilani said India should provide proof about Pakistan’s involvement in the Mumbai attacks. Shah Zaman said that Indian government leveled no allegations against Pakistan and media in both countries was functioning independently.
